“This is really history in the present... I like history in the present, living history, making history, writing history.”

The Village was thrilled to have met Bono and Tom Freston from the ONE Campaign, as well as U.S. Delaware Senator Chris Coons, General James L. Jones, Alabama Congresswoman Terri Sewell, Massachusetts Congressman Joe Kennedy III, Minnesota Senator Al Franken, Minnesota Representative Betty McCollum, Arizona Representative Kyrsten Sinema, Rhode Island Representative David Cicilline, Texas Representative Kay Granger, Oregon Senator Jeff Merkley, and to catch up with Agahozo-Shalom friend U.S. Ambassador to Rwanda Erica Barks-Ruggles.
On 25 August, ONE Campaign and a special U.S. Congressional delegation visited the Village for a tour of Gigawatt Global’s solar field, hosted on ASYV property, and we had the great opportunity to share our story. #U2 musician Bono is known for his commitment to helping developing nations in sub-Saharan Africa through the ONE Campaign, and it was a pleasure to team up with these notable figures, as we continue to share our mission with like-minded actors of society. Agahozo-Shalom hopes to be able to welcome them back again soon!
