A trip to ASYV is more than just a visit, it's a chance to immerse yourself in our community, experience our unique model, and learn from our students and staff. Visitors from around the globe introduce our kids to different cultures and life experiences, as well as a world of opportunity.
We offer two types of visits for individuals traveling to Rwanda - day and overnight:
Day visits consist of a Village tour and a meal in the ASYV Dining Hall with our kids.
Overnight Visits offer a full-day experience including a tour, meals, Family Time with the students, and accommodations in our guest houses.

In addition to day and overnight visits, ASYV offers opportunities for groups from around the world to experience Rwanda and the Village.
ASYV Service Learning Trips
We offer high school, college, and adult groups the chance to get to know Rwanda and the Village in a personal and meaningful way through ASYV’s Service Learning Trips. Beginning and ending at home, the core of the Service Learning experience is an immersive visit to Rwanda and the Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village. Through experiential education and reflection, participants engage in meaningful exchange with students, staff, and peers, and learn about the country’s history and culture. In turn, Service Learning participants cultivate an understanding of and commitment to global citizenship - a deeper awareness of our place and our role in the wider world. Join our first-ever young adult trip to Rwanda!
October 27–November 3, 2024
Learn about Rwanda's past and present, engage in daily Village life with our students and staff, and bond with members of our global community 40ish and under.

Dates exclude travel to and from Rwanda. Participants are requested to arrive on October 27 and depart on November 3.
This all-inclusive trip costs $1,650 per participant, including:

Meals, accommodations in Kigali, lodging at ASYV, and all ground transportation within Rwanda.
Guidance and support from experienced trip leaders, who manage the logistics and programming.
