Fundraising on Facebook

Starting a Facebook fundraiser is an easy and meaningful way to support the Village. You can start a fundraiser at any time or to mark a special occasion like your birthday, or to support ASYV at year-end. Follow the steps below to start your fundraiser.

Step 1: Log in to Facebook

Log in to Facebook and then visit this link to create a fundraiser in support of the Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village.

Set a target fundraising goal, a name for your fundraiser, and why you’re choosing to raise money for ASYV. You can use the sample language included, as well as the sample photo image, or add your own personalization to show why ASYV is important to you.

Step 2: Invite your friends to Give to your campaign

Time to spread the word about your fundraiser! You can invite people to take part via email, through your fundraising page itself, or on social media. Don’t forget, the more people you share with, the faster you’ll reach your goal.

Step 3: Thank your supporters for donating

Make sure to show your supporters some love with a thank you note, email, or social that tags them. Thanking supporters is one of the most important parts!
