Fundraising on Instagram

Starting an Instagram fundraiser is an easy and meaningful way to support the Village. You can start a fundraiser at any time or to mark a special occasion like your birthday, or to support ASYV at year-end. Follow the steps below to start your fundraiser.

Step 1: Log in to Instagram on your mobile device

Select the “+” button toward the bottom of your screen. Choose the image you want to share your fundraiser on, then select “Next.” Complete any preferred image editing or cropping, then select “Next.” Scroll down until you see “Add fundraiser.” Type in the name of the nonprofit you are looking to support, then select “Done.” Select the “Share” button to post to your feed. 

From here, the fundraising link will automatically be added to your Instagram profile bio. 

Step 2: Spread the Word

Share a post about your fundraiser to your grid and stories and send it directly to friends and family.

Step 3: Thank your supporters for donating

Make sure to show your supporters some love with a thank you note, email, or social that tags them. Thanking supporters is one of the most important parts!
