JUNE HARVEST 2015

June+Harvest.png

It is harvest season at Agahozo-Shalom! The dining hall meals just got a lot more interesting (and nutritious) as the farm begins gathering all of the crops from June’s harvest.

For those that don’t know, Rwanda has four seasons, but they are not fall, winter, spring, or summer. Close to the equator, Rwanda experiences a temperate climate with two rainy seasons (long and short) and two dry seasons. The short rainy season ended in March, and now the ASYV farm is busy reaping the rewards of their hard work with a large influx of fruits and vegetables for the kitchen staff to use.
