Fundraising:
As a core component of the service learning experience, Young Judaea participants will commit to fundraising $5,000+ together to support the Village in honor of the trip. ASYV provides a fundraising page and comprehensive resources to support the group’s efforts.
Fundraising is a vital part of the service learning journey because it allows you to give back to ASYV in a lasting and meaningful way.
Through healing, education, and love, ASYV empowers orphaned and vulnerable Rwandan youth to build lives of dignity and contribute to a better world.
The funds raised through the ASYV service learning program help sustain the programs that make students’ transformation possible—everything from nutritious meals and health care, to extracurricular activities and education at one of Rwanda’s best high schools. By raising funds, you are not only supporting the Village’s mission but also demonstrating your solidarity and respect for the community you are joining.
This trip isn’t just about what you bring back with you—it’s about what you leave behind. Fundraising is a way to ensure that your presence contributes positively and responsibly.
The group’s fundraising page can be found at fundraise.asyv.org/yj2026.
Resources for fundraising:
If you are seeking to bring supplies to ASYV, we welcome in-kind donations, as well. You can refer to the Amazon Wish List linked here, which lists requested items to support our programs. Shipping is very costly and logistically complicated so, if you are interested in purchasing supplies, we ask that you bring them with you in your suitcase. Please refer here for important information about bringing supplies to Rwanda for the Village.
Post-Trip Evaluation Form:
A post-trip evaluation form is linked here. Please complete the form within two weeks of your trip. Your feedback is invaluable to us to continue to improve this trip for future Service Learning Trip groups. Thank you!
